About ARÊTES

ARÊTES began with a personal way of seeing and making things.

I am an industrial engineer with a technical background in product development and manufacturing. My experience has taught me to move constantly between an idea and the reality of producing it: drawings, materials, tolerances, machines, processes and everyday use.

I have always been obsessed with making things as simple and precise as possible—but never at the expense of how they are actually made or used. For me, perfection is not rigid or purely theoretical. It is a clear intention refined through the small adjustments that allow an object to work in the real world.

This way of thinking defines ARÊTES. Each piece begins with the logic of a flat sheet of stainless steel. Cuts, folds and connections are reduced to what is necessary, allowing structure and form to emerge from the material itself. Manufacturing constraints are not treated as compromises, but as an essential part of the design.

Designed and manufactured in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland, every ARÊTES piece brings together architectural clarity, engineering discipline and practical experience. The result is a collection of furniture and objects created to remain functional, relevant and enduring.
